An event this historic called for more than just plonking a video crew in Waltham Forest and calling it a day. We collaborated with creatives that were native to Waltham Forest to create work that was homegrown and authentic. We made 24 mini documentaries, did countless photoshoots and even taught 100 volunteers a choreographed dance to celebrate the borough’s achievement.

The campaign communicated the message – we ended up with 500,000 visits to cultural activity during the year, 1,000 volunteers and over 500 items of media coverage. Not only did we help attract thousands of people to experience the borough, we also made a record of the event that was as vibrant and creative as the borough itself.
